Exploring LA LA Land

Towards the end of my stay in Los Angeles,  I wanted to explore the city more.  So that's exactly what Billy, some friends, and I did. We would go from place to place laughing and enjoying life on the way. Many of the spots we visited, I've already been to, but it was a different experience to go at night. The lights and the warm LA nights were a wonderfully exciting and romantic mix.

1. Urban Lights - We went to the LACMA and recreated a scene from No Strings Attached.

2. 500 Days of Summer bench - We took a ride to DTLA where we took pictures at the bench featured in this rom-com.

3. In DTLA they also had the Angels Flight Railway. A single old fashioned train car that brought you up a steep hill. It cost 50 cents each way to ride & it was well worth it.

4. We paid a visit to the Sprinkle's Cupcake ATM, maybe one of LA's coolest places. After waiting on the incredibly long and slow line, you were able to select the type of cupcake you wanted from the touch screen. After you paid about $3.50 with your credit card, the machine grabbed the cupcake and deposited it on the bottom of the ATM. You received your cupcake in an adorable Sprinkle's container completely perfect and delicious.

5. Hollywood Bowl Lookout Point - We drove up a pretty steep mountain to the Hollywood Bowl Lookout Point where we got a had a great view of all of Los Angeles.

6. Beverly Hills Sign - If you watch any television shows filmed in LA, you'll frequently see a shot of this sign. We all took pictures sitting on the letters of this sign. It was nice to go a night because we were able to take pictures and enjoy it without being rushed away by other tourists taking pictures.

7. Marilyn Monroe's Grave - I didn't know this until the bitter end of my trip but my apartment was walking distance from the cemetery where Marilyn Monroe was buried. All these years later she still gets flowers and balloons delivered to her grave.
