In New York, I work at Deutsch, an advertising agency that is known for some of the most memorable Super Bowl commercials. I work with some of the top executives and with the Corporate Communications team. I do everything from updating the social media sites, to working on the company's website, to collecting press mentions, among many other things. I am really enjoying it so far and have meet some really awesome people.
I did bring one part of LA with me, my boyfriend, Billy. He lived in the apartment beneath me and we met towards the end of my stay. We became best friends immediately and there was no stopping a relationship from forming. In July, we were faced with the question of what to do when he had to move back to Holland, where he is originally from. With much discussion and trial and error, we decided that the only thing that would work is to just do it. It's been very difficult but we've made it almost a year already. He came to visit me, I've been to Holland, and this summer he is planning to be here for a few months. Although we spend more time apart than together, it makes the first time we see each other at whichever airport it may be, wherever in the world it may be, like the first time we met. It's crazy, but it works.
Squeezing all the events that take place in a whole year into a few pictures is tough, but here's my best effort -
The first night Billy and I hung out.
As friends, a few of us went to Six Flags California.
Chelsea and Lauren came to visit me in LA in March.
More friends came in May to visit.
Grace and I reenacted the scene from The OC.

and "500 Days of Summer"
We visited Santa Monica Pier, The Getty, and Griffith Observatory together.
